WOMAN-HER INFLUENCE OR HER AUTHORITY?

How important is if for a career woman in a position of authority to learn to use her influence rather than her authority? It is very important! When the woman is in a position of authority and the man is in a position under her authority, this woman would be very wise to learn to appreciate his manhood. Just as women are uniquely made in the image of God, so are men, and in this uniqueness men have been given a special ability to lead for the sake of the family. Of course this ability must be trained and developed, but it is definitely placed there by God. If the woman in authority will appreciate this male power and work with it and not fight against it, she will make more progress.

We learn from the Bible that: “Husbands are to love their wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it” (Eph. 5:25). This is a leadership principle. A good leader sacrifices and gives of themselves in order to develop those they are leading to their fullest potential. This must be the principle followed while the task to be accomplished is still getting done. The challenge of the woman in charge is to get the job done while honoring and developing those around her whether they be male of female. In order to help the male develop, his manhood must be respected.

One of the important things lost in our society today is that appreciation for the uniqueness of the male and the female. I believe Jesus Christ wants His Church to learn this and walk it out for the world to see. I’m game, how about you?
