Happy is the man who find wisdom, and the man who gains understanding; For her proceeds are better that the profits of silver, and her gain that fine gold. She is more precious than rubies and all the things you may desire cannot compare with her. That’s what Proverbs 3:13-15 says.
Have you ever noticed that wisdom is referred to as “she”? Also wisdom is said to be more precious than rubies. That is what is said about a virtuous woman in Proverbs 31:10, “her worth is far above rubies”. When I first saw that, I realized that wisdom and the virtuous woman must dwell on the same plane, they walk in the same paths.
I know the phrase “virtuous woman” sounds a bit lofty for most of us, but actually Jesus has already made it possible for us to “walk in God’s wisdom”. Ephesians 2:6 says, “He has raised us up and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” James 1:5 states, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him.”
Wisdom will help you know what to do with the knowledge you have and will help you speak a word in due season. Wisdom will help you with your timing.
Go ahead and ask. You can have as much as you want; God said so.
