ATTITUDES OF THE HEART

I love to do the word studies because I find that many times we only think we know what a word means. For instance, do you know what the word “attitude” means? It is listed in Webster’s dictionary as posture; a mental position with regard to a fact or state and a specific purpose”. I like to say, “My attitude is the position of my heart”. When my “attitude” is right then my heart is in the right position.

Keeping our hearts in the “right position” can be quite a maintenance program, but one of the areas of my life I consider “my attitude” to be of great importance is in relation to my husband. I’ve found a great scripture to keep in front of me to help with that, it’s found in Ephesians 5:33 in the Amplified Bible. I thought you might appreciate this:

“Let the wife see that she respects and reverences her husband, that is to say, that she notices him, regards him, honors him, prefers, him, venerates and esteems him, and that she defers to him, praises him, and loves and admires him exceedingly.”

Meditation Scripture: Ephesians 5:33 (Amp); 1 Peter 2:17
