Peace, Good Will Toward Men

Have you noticed how busy the world is and how easy it is to get caught up in it? Boy! We really have to stay alert and not let the spirit of this world move us into its realm.

When the angels came to the shepherds in the field to tell them about the birth of Christ, there was with the angels a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying.

“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, good will toward men!”

Peace! What a wonderful message! We have peace with God and it is through that peace that He can speak to us. Your peace is what your enemy will go for the quickest, because if he can get that, he can bring you into confusion. After that, you become vulnerable to more of his evil operations. There’s nothing worth having if it steals your peace, so be careful not to get caught up in the world’s way of doing things.

The Bible says there is all joy and peace in believing. So, if we lose our joy and peace, we have lost faith; therefore, we are not pleasing God.

Jesus says it this way in the Amplified Bible:

“Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I not give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.] John 14:27

therefore, the Lord would say unto you,

PEACE … BE STILL!
