"My soul magnifies the Lord, And my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He has regarded the lowly state of His maidservant' For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed. For He who is mighty has done great things for me, And holy is His name..."
This is only a portion of the joy that bubbled forth from Mary's mouth as she visited with her relative Elizabeth over the miraculous word of God she had received concerning Jesus' birth.
Mary is such a great example for women today. She received the messenger of God and her statement of faith was...
"Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word."
Even as Mary approached her, Elizabeth felt faith reach out to her and the baby leaped in her womb and Elizabeth said, "Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of those things which were told her from the Lord."
Women of faith had a lot to do with bringing Jesus into the world the first time and I'll just bet it won't be any different when He comes the second time.
So, don't be caught off guard. Keep your faith tank filled! Stay full of the Word of God! And like Mary, let your soul magnify the Lord and let your spirit rejoice in God your Savior!
